Default Options for E maxx conversion

Hey guys. I'm chasing ways to convert my t maxx into an e maxx.

Who has, and where are the good conversion kits?

Ideas please?

I have some good bits on the t maxx that I'd reuse so don't want to buy a new kit just to not use half of it.

Thanks.

There are a few options out there, the best I have seen are these:

See if blazerss has any stock left from his last run, I may give up my set if you need them. I just grabbed a pair just in case I ever needed them. I have bought a lot of his work over the years and it is always flawless stuff. Great guy and as knowledged on the maxx platform as anyone anywhere...

How2rc for a motor adapter
Then search single gear/single speed kit to make the transmission work for electric.
Find a battery tray.
Put it all in and the Maxx flies.

I did this to two of them. I just sold them.

I see they sell a few types of mounts. Which one did you have success with?
Thanks.

Or maybe I should just get a traxxas E maxx chassis and motor mount?

As much as I like making stuff this is the easiest route. Bolts right on, probably a little better chassis balance with a bit less weight at the rear and to one side of the chassis.

If you want to convert though have a look at this build.

The trans was converted to single speed with a couple of pinion gears and also has a standard forward only conversion. So the truck doesn't need reverse or the mechanical brakes and using the esc/motor for that like any other electric vehicle.

Check these out. I make this conversion system and to me it is the only way to go. You do have to use an electric transmission from the newer traxxas MT's. These transmissions are rock solid and perfect for the tmaxx old and new and you have all the options available, gearing, 2-speed, etc.

For some reason this site won't let me post the complete link.

The website is myelectrictmaxx dot com

You can also search ebay, tmaxx transmission adapters
My ebay seller name is rchardware
