The first two attached pictures show the stock AE #7666 ring. The second set TKO F & f ring.
Which side of the diff ring are they looking at? The AE rings have a "smooth" side and a "not as smooth" side If you use the smoother side the diff will be like silk.

Seems a bit misleading to me. Why is the AE ring not a complete 'sine' wave and why would I pay any additional amount to get an additional few microns of flatness?

Once the diff is done up to the correct end load, either of these minor errors will be eradicated by the diff ring being pushed flat against the balls - if it weren't then the diff wouldn't work! I'm with Bertottius, get a pair of AE rings, fit the right way round and enjoy the glass-smooth action - providing you've built the rest of it right!

Because they are guaranteed to be decently flat when you buy them. Buying regular rings will be hit or miss. Hopefully, usually, they'll be decent out the pack. However, I've received a diff and the rings were completely warped. They basically do the sorting and finishing for us lazy people. Hehe

I hope "full set" means four tires. In that case, awesome.

I've definitely felt high spots in the diff with stock diff rings. I've used the Qteq diff ring sanding tool for years to flatten out the rings and it makes a noticeable difference. But even with a great tool like that it takes a long time to get the rings flat. Being able to get them flat from the start...I'm all for that! As for them being flat under load...I've noticed they actually flex under load...especially the lightweight ones.

TKO differential rings are excellent and worth every penny. End of story.

The lightest wheels I ever ran were the old style black Enneti. They no longer exist.

Most new 38mm wheels are pretty close in overall weight, but I think that CRC is the heaviest, but has stiffest wheel.

What is the current hot ticket motor for 13.5T spec racing? My 2 top choices as of right now are either a D4 Certified Shortstack or a SchuurSpeed Select. What other motors should I look at? Orion LWs? What else?

The tracks I run on are all more torque tracks than top speed tracks.
