New Radio
#1
Hey guys,
Im in the market for a new radio. I have looked around, and going simply by aesthetics, I am leaning toward the Hitec Lynx 4S. Can anyone give me some more information on this transmitter in particular, as well as some info on other similarly priced transmitters ($200-$300). I need all the info I can get, not only on the transmitters themselves, but what goes into choosing the right radio for your needs/preferences.
Thanks in advance,
Thomas

It's alot to do with how the radio feels in your hands. The performance of most of the top brands radios (Sanwa/Airtronics, futaba or KO) is fantastic and so I wouldn't hesitate with any from those 3 brands in particular. In your price range i personally would go with the Sanwa/Airtronics MT4S as I believe this is the best radio at that price point. There are a few M12's coming into the 2nd hand market to make way for the new M12s radio that you maybe able to pick up within your budget.

The MT-4S is another radio that I've been considering. Thanks for your input, Dan. The only thing that leans me more towards the Hitec is receiver cost. They seem to be around 1/2 the price of the Airtronics/Sanwa receivers. But I guess if I only plan on running 2-3 cars, then it wouldn't be that much of a difference in the end.

The only bundle I am able to find that comes with 2 receivers is the 40th Anniversary bundle. If you know where I can find a regular edition bundle with 2-3 receivers and none of the useless servo's, I would be very interested. Thanks Dan.
