How do you guys cart around your truck and gear? Today was my first experience having to really load everything up and it was a pain... I have my T maxx, my tool/extra part box, and an old electrician bag that carried my controller, starter, fuel bottle, and a few other odds and ends PLUS a gallon of fuel to cart around...

I am thinking a BIG bag that I have seen at Home Depot will do me some good with another fold up hand cart like I use for my tools at work.

I have seen a few threads here of truck carrying bags but I'd like to consolidate and have it easy to cart around.. My issue is I live in an apartment and have to park way out front. I don't have to have to make multiple trips. Plus once I get to where I am going to run most of the time I will have a little walking to do. I would like have a nice system..

Can some of you post some pics of what setups you have come up with?

I've always wanted some kind of setup for easy transport but I hate packing and unpacking everything as everything has its place on my bench. I've thought about it though and I'd look into a lightweight, light duty, folding hand truck. Then get two Rubbermaid type bins/tubs, the ones with the lids. One would be used for the truck and maybe the fuel. The other bin would have your tool box, charger, radio and whatever else. Strap the bins to the hand truck with bungies and cart it around. Bins can be used for storing the rc stuff in your apartment, as a work table out at the bash spot and the lightweight hand trucks can even fold up and collapse for storage too. A lot easier than hefting a big ass bag around too.

I don't have enough posts to link my images but I have a Milwaukee folding cart I use for work. Works great and I plan on getting another. I have my bag set up pretty well and will add a few "Plano" style cases to it for extra screws, clips, glow plugs and any other parts I may need.

My job has me in different shops and buildings everyday and I need to bring a VERY wide variety of tools with me so I make sure to keep my setup as mobile and convenient as possible.

I am really amazed at how much stuff I am gathering and seeing a need to take with me when I run. I have researched almost every tool bag available for my tools at work and have a few in mind that I am going to look at for this hobby now. I will post back pictures (whenever I reach whatever post count I need to.) and layouts of what seems practical for others to check out

For field gear I use a large duffel bag. I thinks it's an Israeli military bag, it's made of canvas and has a bunch of hooks and clips on the outside of it. I use a similar bag for a range bag when I go shooting. It holds the tool and spare parts box, radios, and fuel and I carry the trucks. For spare parts a few of those tackle trays for fishing work well. For fuel I have 3 fuel bottles and just fill as many of them as needed to bring with instead of carrying a large jug of fuel around. The Mad Force I have can be strapped to the bag if I need to as well. I limit how much extra parts I bring out to run. Usually I carry just the essentials like extra screws and nuts, spur gears, batteries, etc. Anything that would take me longer than 30 minutes to replace ends my day of running.

Wing tote deluxe truck bag. Fits my flux, charger, controller and plenty of extra parts cases and tools. Only problem is it tends to get heavy when you really load it up. So I have a smallish rigid tool bag that I also use with it.

I don't have enough posts to put up a pic but I use a Craftsman plastic tool box. It has a large rocking drawer in the bottom for batteries and radios. Then two pull out drawers for small tools and spare parts. Then in the top it has a tool tray and another large pocket beneath the tray where I keep my charger and other spares. On the lid I added two flexible soldering helpers since it is the right height to double as a work bench when sitting. It has two large wheels and a handle that makes it easy to transport and has an extension cord reel on the side. Though it is of a good size it fits easily in the back of a SUV standing up and when at home sits right at the end of the work area so the tools are still with in easy reach.

I'm going to bump this thread. I've been running the snot out of my T Maxx 3.3 and think I just need a bag that will hold 2 or 3 fuel bottles, controller, minimal parts, and tools.

I can carry the truck in my other hand.

I've finally got enough "miles" on it the suspension actually has some give to it now. We set an oval up at my dad's last weekend and had a blast! We are now going to build a bigger one down in the field. Putting a stand up and I will need a way to haul my junk around a little easier.
