I think this would be the type of guide you are looking for: http://forum.driftmission.com/Thread...e-lightbuckets

Discussion of the "best" light kits: http://forum.driftmission.com/Thread...d-lighting-kit

Could these lights handle 4x4 sct racing?

Seriously considering adding some lights to one of my trucks....... They make some led pods that are meant to work on motorcycles that should survive an RC truck. Wouldn't be as dedicated as the ones above with blinkers and flashers, still fun though.

They should hold up to sct racing. Especially the ones that have the holders for the leds that screw into the body

I've been running LEDs for about 10 years. My best advice is to mount to the chassis and leave clear areas in the body for the lights to shine through. This both protects the lights and eliminates the need to reconnect the wire each time you reinstall the body.

My lights are custom made for each vehicle depending on what mount locations work. Scrap lexan and Shoo-goo are great ways to make LED mounts for on road and "L"angle aluminum is my goto for off road.
