Default one option...

Have never seen one of these and know even less about them;

http://www.teamassociated.com/cars_a...Rally_4WD/RTR/

It doesn't appear to be a Tc3/4 knock-off, motor is on the wrong site and seems to be all metric.

Worth a look I figure...

So what are the spec rules regarding this? It looks like fun.

The rules has not been lay out yet. But a few of us have been chatting and I was thinking of blinky 21.5 to start with.

max width of 200mm
wheel will have to sedan size

I know rally tires are bigger than sedan tires but it would not be right to run buggy or shortcourse tires and wheel. There should be a minium weight also but I don't know what that would be yet.

I can't wait to have some night time rally. It will be very cool. If you guys really want to take it to the next level we could race rain or shine. That would be crazy.

That's one of the larger short course sized rally cars... There is quite a few companies offering rally cars with similar specs to that one now. They look pretty cool.

Rules sound good to me so far. Other then coming up with a min weight, I don't think we'll need to add much more to the rules. I'm sure we will figure out what works as we go.

Vue, my thoughts would be the same as far as tire/wheel choice. To expand on that point, we should allow any rally tire that mounts to and is made for a touring/sedan size wheel of anywhere from 24-31mm width. That keeps the options open, and anything else wouldn't look right... Here is a couple sets of rally tires that mount to sedan size 26mm wheels for example: http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/schumac...85294?v=241555 http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/schumac...85293?v=240201

If we have a covered driver stand rain or shine works for me!

That sounds awesome. Would love to see some WRC style cars flying around and spraying up dirt. I think the Vaterra style gravel rally tires look the best and would probably work best on 1/10 rally cars. Those Tamiya and HPI block tires add just a little too much extra diameter and force you to cut the fenders a little larger than normal too. Gonna have to get me a new Stratos body!

Those tires look very nice but I don't think they will fit a normal sedan wheel.

I don't know where you could buy these cars but this looks like a another nice rally car.

The cheapest way to go is just convert your sedan to rally by putting on rally tires and making a chassis cover for it.

I think they are standard 26mm touring car. I bought a mounted set from Hobbytown and they looked scale on my wrx.

They come premounted and are 12mm hex. Set of 4 only cost around $30 I think. They are a nice flexible tire too with softer foams in them. I think these are the standard tires on the Vaterra Kemora and Kalahari rally cars

We will be working on the rally track again starting @ 9am Sunday.

Anyone who wants to pitch in bring a hoe, bow rake, or a spade shovel. Oh and don't forget the will to work .

Very nice! Can you measure the diameter of the tire? also the width of the rim they are mounted on?
