Default Losi Xcelerion problem

I'm new to RC and I have a problem with my Losi Xcelerion brushless motor which has me stumped.

The car accelerates in a burst for about 20 metres and then dies off. If I release the throttle then come back on I get another burst then it again dies off. The car will only accelerate in short bursts.

I am running 2s lipo and I have tried different batteries, this has not helped.
I have checked the programming of the ESC and all is set correctly there. I have checked the settings on the radio and they seem all as they should be.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

If I remember right, the Xcelerion is sensored. Could be a bad sensor wire (black wire that runs from motor to ESC)

Could be a bad cell on your lipo. If it's dumping the LVC will cutoff. As voltage comes back up you'll get another burst until it dies again. If you have another lipo to try I would start with that.

Thanks for the feedback guys I will try these out.

I've tried 4 different Lipo's with no change.

What I have noticed is that it only does it under load, when I lift the wheels off the ground and throttle it up it responds fine.
