The other cool part is that we do not sponsor racers, so there is no "team racer" stuff or fake hype going on there. The racers just like the bodies. We really appreciate all the support.

Thanks

You're welcome. But IndyHobbies took and posted the pics.

Default Usgt motor question

Would the Speed passion 21.5 mmm motor still hang today? Or is it outdated.

You'll be off pace since the SP has such limited mechanical timing advance. HK Trackstar motors are the way to go for a budget motor that will be competitive. It's a shame the Toro Aries Pro 21.5 isn't ROAR approved, because the 17.5 is an awesome motor.

I'm needing to pick up a new lipo, does anyone have a recommendation that doesn't break the bank? What factors are most important to take into account? High c rating, battery weight, capacity?

R1 Works from TQ. The 6000 Mah was something like 59.99 US I think. I use one in my 17.5 car and I couldn't be happier with it.

One of the guys had one running at The Gate last weekend. Lots of steering.

I was getting the steering issue squared away in the main. After someone pointed out that the upper deck was broken. I think it happened in the first round (only big hit and it was big). Anyway it was much more balanced in the main after a couple of changes.
I missed the deck while working on other racers problems but it was a big over site.

I forgot I ran one a while back. And yes it had lots of steering, and no rear traction. I stopped run in usgt altogether at the time so I couldn't compaird another body. I chocked the poor handling up to a really bad suspension set up, (cut towers, long shocks, running really light springs to get ride hight down...) and the shallow rear wing. Not to mention the old HPI X-patterns.

I am now running factory suspension geometry and I put a cut down TC wing on it. Im looking for better results this time.

Here are some good batteries at a reasonable price.

Be aware, the 5000mah GForce battery is about 50-60 grams lighter than other 5000mah batteries. Can't tell you what that means but..., you'll be adding weight to your car for sure.
