Tekno ET48 Build - TP 4070

The TKR5261 looks nice. How does it feel compared to the stock mounts, just as solid/beefy? Is there any upgrade/optional replacement for the center dif top plate (TKR5107)? Now that you've run/jumped some more have you noticed any added stress caused by the long motor?

That is a neat MM option! But $80 is pretty steep cost to save 2 minutes, and introduces 4 more screws and a potential failure if it came loose... I'd be nervous, especially considering how much more stress you're putting on it over stock with that insane motor! I'd probably play it safe and keep it one solid piece for durability instead of the trade off for a bit more convenience, but it is definitely a cool looking piece and probably works great...

So I switched to 100k center diff oil. It drove very wild and loose, too much RWD power. It wheelied a lot and I had to back off the throttle many times. Also, a few small spots on my tires came unglued, I never had a problem with them before. I'm going back to 30k for more control and 4WD power.

I did some more high speed driving today. My center diff got up to 150F, that's the first time I've checked it. My tires have been screwed up ever since running 100k in the center. I re-glued a few small spots the other day. My front tires are now ballooning which leads to stability issues and wheelies. I had no ballooning whatsoever before. I guess it's time to bring out the fishing line.

Actually instead of going fishing, how about some nice industrial o-rings from McMaster-Carr.
I measured 5.300" OD of badlands where the o-rings will go and ordered these. Lets hope they work.
Hard Buna-N O-Rings
5.237" ID
.103" Width

Anti-ballooning phase 2
Just got these in today. The o-rings are just flexible enough to go around the tire, perfect fit! They're pretty hard in material. Now to put them to the test.
