Hello. I am new to offroad rc. I plan on getting a blitz flux rtr kit. What else do i need to get? I know that i need Lipo battery and charger. Is there anything else i need?
What other Accessories do you guys recommend i get? Also what do you recommend is good battery and charger that is not too expensive but works good? Also, what is meant by 2s and 3s? can i only use a 2s? What is battery mah mean? Is this longer run time or more power? What is C means for battery.
Sorry for the newbie questions... the last time i was into RC, the speed controllers were rotary dials. Alot has changed in the RC world since the 80s. Thanks guys

With that kit, you just need a battery and charger to get running. I don't own a Blitz, but I've seen many people talk about it's durability. So you can probably get away without spare parts until something goes wrong. If you want to be prepared look in the Electric Offroad section. I'm sure there's a Blitz thread there that you can wade through to find out what people are breaking if anything.
You should be able to pick up an AC powered charger for ~$40 or less and many places are selling good 5000mah or better lipos for ~$35. Since lipo shipping rules have changed, it's hard to get them out of country. But if you're in the US here's a couple you might try.
Value Hobby, SPC Racing, SMC Racing, Hobbyking
MAH is the capacity of the battery. The bigger the number the more capacity it will have and the longer it will last.
C is supposed to be the rating of how much power the battery can put out in terms of amps. There's no standard way to measure this and there's been lots of discussion on vendors claiming higher C ratings that what's real.
But in most cases a higher C rating will minimize the voltage sag (reduction in voltage a battery experiences when put on a load). You probably want a 40C or higher is my guess.
