Yes Bob is correct about our tracks. What track are you on running on WonTon? I think Mike Gays setup is a great starting point for anyone running in our area at the more popular tracks.

no worries man. We all had to learn this. What we do here doesn't apply to 90% of the indoor tracks haha.

I'm going to make it down to Mimis soon. Probably try to get there later this month or early next month.

I tend to bounce between mcculloughs and the track. Soon to see bumps and jumps.

Avid and Schelle slippers are the same exact system. Same spurs and pads.

In looking at the setup sheets on Associated's site, there is a variance between 1 and 2 limiters in the shocks, yet the stroke/shaft length is almost always 20.5 front and 25.6mm rear in all the setups. If the stroke length is the same no matter if I have 1 or 2 limiters, then is there an advantage to having more or less limiters inside the shock?

I put an extra limiter in the shock then unscrew the eyelet to set the stroke. Allows some adjustment without shock disassembly.

The only difference is adjustability and uptravel. With more limiters, the piston goes closer to the cap. Given that the spring retainer limits the shaft from going close to the cap, it's basically a non issue on our platform.

yep, use your internal limiters to get you to the "middle" of your current tune range. For example, if you are playing back and forth with a certain amount of droop, and you are going back and forth between lets say 19mm and 21mm stroke, use your limiters to get you to 20...so you have 1mm up and down with just the eyelet.

doubtful. that is listed as the T5M tranny. maybe they adjusted the tolerances or just made a case that was best suited for the truck.

Yeah, and if it was moved forward, there is no room since the motor would have to more forward too, that would require a new chassis and side cradle guards.

I wonder if the truck will have a slightly different ratio? Maybe that would be the reason for a gearbox change.

It dosn't say anything about size or ratio. It just says a lighter top shaft, higher quality gears and bearings, and is a 14 ball diff now to make it more reliable and more torque efficient. I hope it works in the buggy platform.

Kody mentioned that what is holding the 3 gear tranny up is that they wanted to get the mesh perfect and that it required adjusting things a few times. This is probably what the V2 is for as well. They say that it is now a 14 ball diff because the previous truck had a 12 ball diff, the buggy is already a 14 ball diff.

I like your girlfriend... my wife walked into the study and said whats going on how come you are having more and more cars... are they self replicating?
