Both are very capable ESC so you won't be disappointed with your choice.

The ESC both is the most expensive of the 3 and the one that will likely last the longest too. Batteries and motors have a much shorter life and also a much higher chance of going bang/poof/smoke/puff (pick one )

Understand, however that is really tail wagging the dog mentality.

ps - i'd get the hobbywing. great value. perfect for 13.5/21.5 blinky.
i've got an LRP flow works right now, but thinking of a hobbywing for my old car to run in lower classes.
you could probably get away without the program card if you wanted to save a few bucks, for blinky there is much less to play with and you'll mess with the ESC settings pretty rarely (well, i find i do)

I run both the HW v3.1 and Orca VX3. You can't go wrong with either one. Both are very smooth. Both work well in stock and mod classes and each has its own benefits. I like the onboard switch on the HW but the replaceable receiver lead on the orca is also a nice touch.
My experience is that v3.1 is too suited for mod and the brakes are also more towards mod motors. It is not very strong if your motor is not that torquey. Although the brake is very smooth, sometimes brake strength is lacking at some tracks with some motors.
Thanks!
