ROAR Election
I wanted to post here because its probably one of the most popular sections on RCTech with number of post but Mods can move it if they wish.
This is an even number Region director voting year and also ROAR President. Everyone always is quick to complain but last election only around 3% of the people actually voted. This year do your part and vote and lets get someone into President office that actually races, cares for racing and has a finger on the pulse of RC about what is going on, what needs to be going on and what they are going to do to make that happen. We need someone who is going to actually communicate with the racers AND Manufactures!! Someone who will answer emails in a timely manner and take their elected job serious.
I dont know who that is but its not the people that have been in there thats for sure!

LOL. No I dont think that would work out well for some. But just trying to bring attention to it. Its something that ROAR needs to do better and not just hide on their own website. All of these message boards, social media and other www outlets are some of the best ways to communicate (and worst at times!!) and its something they dont utilize but should.

I don't know much about Mruk but Steve Pond has been a writer (and I think editor as well) of RC Car Action and is a former ROAR President.

Mr. Mruk owns and operates a landscaping company. Mr. Pond is employed by Kyosho.
I believe both Steves are mostly involved with offroad racing, but are knowledgeable about onroad racing (or know who to ask!). Please correct me if I am wrong.
I don't know of anyone who is seeking a write-in.
Directors for each even-numbered region are also up for election.

Neither! Unless its an off road race! And then its questionable....
In order to run you must have been a Region Director or served on the excom or section committee for 2 years so there are not even very many that qualify for it because of this.
See above Robert. There simply are not very many that even qualify. But Marvet Brown is running as a write in.

One has to admire that level of dedication to a hobby.
