I've never been to a FL race. I'm from VA. How often does it rain there in Florida and would it dry out quickly? Just a little hesitant to buy nonrefundable plane tickets if this race isn’t rain or shine? Which day does qualifying start? (the race is advertised to start weds.

Heavy rain in December is rare for central FL. Temperatures start cooler (high 50s) and will get into the high 70s low 80s. Last year the weather was perfect. If it was to rain, it would more than likely be something light and would dry within a hour or so.

I think practice starts wednesday but qualifying starts thursday afternoon.

There are a good amount of guys who will come down from VA to this race. Maybe you can reach out to some of them on their experience with Kissimmee

Rainy season is June till end of sept
The best racing weather we get is from October thru Jan but no weather man can give you a forecast so far in advance but the track dries up really well when we get hit with a down pour
