My ta 06 tamiya is having problems. I had to switch black and white motor wires to get ESC working properly. (Reverse was green while forward was red.) also when I hold the wheels and push throttle, the belt moves but wheel is stationary. Also I bought the mamba max pro because it said 6s input max. Is this false advertisement, or how do I exactly run 6s on mamba max? Do I need the BEC voltage regulator? I tried using the castle wire harness series adapter, but my motor and esc gets hot to a point, you can drive for only 1 minute or so. I am not planning to run 6s on ta06. Or is HIgh voltage only for shaft on?

Any one have experience with Tamiya brushless motors. Worth the investment? I am a really big fan of tamiya products, but I never tried their brushless electronics.

with the best not moving the wheels, it is possible that the pulleys or gears in the trans stripped. look into the driveline and see what piece is not moving and what is. if something is stripped it should be pretty apparent when you open it up.

the MMP can be run on 6s, bun in a car like the ta06, you probably want to keep it under 3, and preferably to 2s. above that and its just putting to much strain on the car that the car is probably able to take. And... there are few motors that will fit in a ta06, and still run 6s voltage.

about the heat... can you post a picture (at 10 posts) of your wiring? It would be helpful to get an idea of how its wired now.

about the tamiya electronics. Tamiya has other companies do many of its electrical components. Notable ones have been muchmore, LRP, and KO prop.

if you get one of the tamiya motors or escs that is made by either LRP, or KO PROPO, then it would be decent, and be good for all levels of competition, but if you get one of the more "budget" oriented electronics, they aren't anything special, and the tend to be hugely overpriced for what you get.
