What a let down...after all that talk of "being new". I don't call changing the color from purple to black "new". And seriously? I LOVE the purple... Really hard to root for HB lately. Still curious as to the real reason why Hara left/fired by (we don't really know) them. Maybe it was a money issue like everything else.

Not pissed at all. Just upgraded my 2 TCXX for much cheaper than $300 a kit. I still have many left over parts from the Pro 4, cyclone, and TCX days. Still running like a champ locally, and I will be running both of them at the IIC. I usually buy new kits after several years, not every year.

My old Pro 4 can still keep up with my TCXX in 17.5

No I meant sway links. I guess I should hace said connectors. I am talking about how the sway bars connect to the arms. On the TCXX, new Xray, and VBC the mounts use a ball stud to make tweek adjust adjustments easier. On my VBC and the Pro-5 pictured earlier the connectors would have to be removed to make adjustments, then attached to verify. Big pain in the ass.

I spy 2 different lower decks. I wonder what the extra screw mounting holes are for behind the spur and in front of the motor mount

Good eye. There are a number of differences. Servo mount is different as well.

I also see different size in the rear pivot block. Also the position of the A arms have more movement compared to TCXX

Those mount are older part from HPI. You still can use the XX style mounting. Im assuming it was preference for the driver of that car

The holes are probably for rear steer options. The inner mounts on the xray arebinba similar location.

But with this many differences between the 2 car, im wondering if they are still in developement stage. They might not have a final design for production. After the electric worlds last year, it took several months to finally get the D413 into drivers hands. So long they should have probably changed the name to the D414 😂

Hey Goots, you gave me some set up advice a while back. With some more tuning to suit my driving style. My TCXX was better than my ARC R10

I think it looks good not ground braking but not over done too and if it works who cares
Was looking forward to another shaft driven car but it you want different Schumacher is the only one that doesn't looks like a tamiya copy ( God knows y they say Xray copy ) but even thought the mi5 evo is good ( after lots of setup ) they aren't a top car at the worlds
Well done to hpi (if not just a little hyped)
