Tekno ET48 Thread

Love the pics!!! They look awesome!!!
I'm so jealous! I haven't had hardly any time to even run my Truggy. Also still in the middle of a complete reconstruction of my track which I got to get finished real soon.
In the meantime I picked up some road tires and hit 80mph with my Truggy. Like to hit 100mph but that's going to take some modifications to get the pinion to fit. Was running 1550kv 6s & 25T pinion.
When I get time I'll get some video.

Also for speed runs you can definitely go to a higher kv motor if you have one, 2200kv on 6s is not a problem.

well so an update on my ET48... after posting on the previous page about my spur holding up so great... it appears a rock has got inside and totally munched my composite spur on my last run...
also, both stock front drive shafts have now broken at the exact same spot (left and right) but Tekno were awesome and have mailed we some replacements... backs seem to be holding up fine though... the replacements so far have had zero issues
currently im running an rx8/t8 2000 combo with 15 tooth on 5s maxamps 5450 and temps are basically ambient after a 20 min bash session. man this drive line is so smooth i love this thing to bits!!!!!!

Any reason why this USB cable wouldn't work for my android with hotwire? I plug it in and just it just says hotwire is not connected. Heard some talk about some special USB spec it has to be, but wasn't sure what it was.

Blah, not sure why this post is spamming all the threads.

The cable needs to be a otg cable in order to power the Hotwire. The 2.0 don't need it and can pull power from the RX8, but I'd prefer not to.
Here is a good cable to use: http://amzn.com/B00BFYH11Q

Is there much of a felt difference when using saddle packs vs. square packs? I know shorties will handle differently, but if saddles and squares are the same I wanted to test out the feel with a couple of Orion saddles I have left over form the SC10 4x4 before buying a square.

Steering servo... any favorites out there? My JR is going on me (having a hard time finding neutral). I would like to have a good performing servo - but even more importantly I would like to find a company that has excellent customer service/warranty for their products.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have a ProTek 170S in my truggy. I only have a few packs through it so I can't speak to its durability. I have a Spektrum 6090 (at 7.4V) in my SCT and a Spektrum 6100 in my EB48. The Spektrums have been used for a couple of years now and have performed very well.
