I understood that the motor was on the approved list. That's why I bought it.

The 21.5 has been submitted. I have no doubt it will pass all requirements but we are waiting for ROAR's approval. This is in ROAR's hands now. I'm sure they will post something as soon as they are able.

The Plutonium is also a very good motor. My Plutonium 17.5 is 2 years old, and I am very competitive with it.

Well raced my new usgt car in a local parking lot race at a hobby shop, had the smallest motor there and not enough gear but still made the a main and finished 4th out of 5 with the car so it handles pretty good! Still have a bit of push i have to work out but pretty good for the 1st outing. they had 5 cars in the b main also. Does anyone have a suggestion for a tire that has a little more grip than the spec tire for parking lots?

You said your car had a push, so why do you need MORE grip?

We have run the Spec tires on parking lots and find them to be very good. In fact, a few 17.5 drivers are thinking of trying the Spec tire, based on how well the hold up for the USGT drivers and the lower cost.

Try adjusting your set-up or your tire prep to find the balance you need.

I do have to work on setup more. Ran 2 classes today and only had so much time. Thought the car handled well for no more setup time than i had but thought the car was a little loose overall and thought there might be a different tire that would be better on a rougher paved surface. Am not all that familiar with running pavement except with my buggy and slick ions which has much more grip

Picked up a Hacker 21.5 and was told that I needed to turn the timing all the way up and then 1 more 'tick' to get top performance from the motor. Well, the little extra 'tick' gave me all the speed I was sorely lacking but now my motor temp was at 185 F when I checked it about 20-30 seconds after the end of the heat race.

Track temps were around 110-120f, air temps were about 105f, so the motors were starting out already warm. I do run a fan on the motor as well

1: What temp would be considered too hot?


2. Running a 5.5 fdr for our class, and I'm running a 113t spur and a 40t pinion (5.65 fdr). Would dropping down a tooth on the pinion be advised to reduce the temps, or are the 185 degree temps within a safe parameter?

Hello all, i'm looking for some input on body choices for USGT class being raced on asphalt track with 60' x 120' in size. we run pro pail threw out the infield and lined with 3" pvc pipe. Lots of slower tight corners long straight with a sweeper at the end. been running the Mcallister Racing 2014 Riley Daytona Prototype body. was really cool until everyone else decided to start running it. now in search of something Cool and with good down force.

Try finding an Acura NSX boody. They handle great,w/plenty of down force.

not sure if I asked this in here already, but does anyone have a decent setup for a Tamiya TA05v2 for USGT on carpet? heading to Darkside's Southern Nationals and don't want to be chasing a setup all weekend
