Default Old DX3 Binding with new reciever?

Hiya all..

Just bought a cheap DX3 as a spare and just found that binding is different to the new ones. There is a button on the back of the radio and another on the receiver.

Will this radio still bind with the newer receivers?? Especially those cheap orange receivers?

Cheers.. otherwise I will find out when it gets here

As far as I know the DX3 (not DX3.0 right?) will bind with any surface DSM Spektrum or Losi receiver, but not DSM2 or DSMR receivers.

I am not at all sure, but I think the orange deal is DSM2???

spew.. thought I was getting away with this cheaply.. LOL.. famous last words

I hope your wrong

I have probably got some original spektrum DSM receivers laying about so should be ok, but these orange ones are so small and cheap

When did they change from DSM to DSM2 does anyone know?

The later DX3.0's and DX2.0's will have some pictures on the back (one of a boat) to indicate DSM2 Compatibility. I believe the DX3 is the same shape / size as these (takes 8 *AA's) and was very similar in shape to the JR XS3 Radios

Cheers Nexus

yeah it is definitely only the DX3.. not the DX3.0

From what I can gather the basic SR300 is only DSM??

SR300, the earlier SR3000 and most of the Losi rebadge receivers will work with it.
