As you know yes gas is a bit thin ATM and some of our drivers commit to interstate championships and national championships and our Friday nite drivers are only in for a fun nite and getting them to commit to an event like an inter club may not happen when they don't want to race elsewhere and I'm sure the other clubs have members that only do race only their home inter club .. Now I see Fraser coast lurking good on you guys get in there so me thinks get the officials in a room early decide the clubs classes ect be the way to go ... Cavey...
I do not ofter see eye to eye with Cavey, but with this he sees the truth of the matter. Good post.

I agree completely. Working together cooperatively is fundamental to growing the sport, the clubs and the drivers.

Thanks, but for a range of reasons I won't be there. That's not a topic or the point of this thread.

G'day guys. I just wanted to say a BIG thank you for a great weekend. This is the first biggish event I've been to in years, I'm only just getting back into this sport again, I used this event to see if I really wanted to come back into the sport and you made my mind up. Thanks to heavy for selling me a few things and another guy there( not sure of his name sorry) that helped me get racing again after breaking a rear belt. Great group of guys. From what i have read and heard, I hope all clubs can get along and make the sport big again. Again thank you guys.

P.S where is a good hotel/motel to stay for the next interclub.

Just getting out and racing no matter what the result is what it is all about for me , I have and always support the SEQ interclub event , we travel to every event and Race both days even if they aren't our preferred class , just for the shear fun of racing with some of the nicest guys around , and coming from possibly one of the smallest clubs in Qld we have shown how competitive we can be . I believe personally this is attributed to by the fact that we do travel to different tracks and race there. Our clubs members showed this this weekend just past . Now we don't get into the politics of RC racing up here, having a nice distance from it , but I personally believe if every club had members with as much enthusiasm and passion about RC racing as our club has , and travel to different tracks around and looked past that tracks faults .. And they all have their own faults and problems . Support events such as the interclub , it will only help to create a stronger RC community .

Oh and on a last note Look out Bayside and Logan the interclub trophy might just find a new home a little further north

Looking forward to September . The racing and the atmosphere will be great

Default Bump

This thread has been very quiet lately; so I thought I would give it a bump, with round 3 so close.

Kindest regards,
Lars.
