Never mind on the knife place prices, I found www.eplastics.com that has .125"x12"x12" sheets for $13 & .093"x12"x12" for $10.

Wait until you get their shipping cost. It'll double the cost of your sheet and two sheets only doubles the shipping price. That's where they get you. I will not buy from them.

I bought a 1/8" thick 6" x 2' sheet of G10/FR4 from McMaster Carr. It cost $20 shipped. While you're on McMaster Carr, get yourself a countersinking bit as well. It's only an extra $10 and very much worth it. You'll also want some 25mm hex standoffs to use for spacing the upper and lower decks. I use those to keep the battery in place.

The G10 I bought is not ideal. The stock chassis is 2mm and 1/8" sheet I bought is over 3mm. The thickness mismatch bothers me quite a bit, plus knowing I've got extra weight I don't need.

Compared to CF the G10 is heavier and flexes more. My chassis is still very stiff, though. It is certainly much stiffer than the dimec 20 chassis was.

I'm bidding on some 2mm carbon fiber on ebay for my next revision. By reducing the thickness and going to CF, I guestimate the new chassis will weigh half as much as my current one, and will look 100% more b*tchin'

For the front kick up, I copied x-factory on that. I took the TD dimec 20 type b plastic chassis and cut the nose off and used the servo supports to bridge the gap between the two pieces.

3/16" G10 is a good match but I use 1/8" since it comes in a few colors. 2mm is too thin for a chassis. It would work for bracing though. 3mm is what you want.

I don't worry about the technical advantages or disadvantages on paper of G10 vs carbon fiber . In practice G10 is quite equal. It's more design dependent than material dependent hence Dimec as a material.

How do you like the 310 conversion vs your regular 210? It looks dope! What are you using for a battery strap? Seems like the 410 suspension would be a little limited in terms of travel in comparison to the 210.

I don't run it anymore, just couldn't get it to hook up at our track. Turf it would rock, felt very balanced. I made my own strap out of CF. My 210 mid with the +10 felt the best.

I'm currently running mid motor with the +11mm Exotek chassis. I like it because that means I can keep running my Finisher body which was is my favorite body right now. I actually cut it for the shorter chassis but it fits ok on the longer setup....

I think when I get a new 210v2 I will keep this as a rear motor roller or set it up for my girlfriend to try. I'm really hoping to get her hooked on RC Perhaps I should get her a truck to drive first since they are usually easier...

Custom side pods. Hopefully Ill have time this week to make some more! Working on a new body to fit the narrowed chassis.
Ran it on a low traction dirt track last weekend and it was planted, just put step pins and ribs on it. Didnt change my high bite set up at all, took 2nd in the A

The plan is to offer these in a full conversion kit in the next couple of weeks. It will include the chassis, side braces, battery strap, rear brace, and all the hardware. The chassis is 7075 AL. The side braces and battery strap are CF.
I have enough material on hand to do 10 kits. Also working on some CF motor plates right now. Should be done this week!
