Yes, you are right fred, sharing parts would be an good point too
, it is geting harder to find some parts even her in europe, but i have found quit some shops, that still carrying alot of parts for the td cars!
... But i see quit a fiew people switching back to their td cars, or buy some, as these are great cars!
May we can here and at the specific threads share even more of our experiances, or parts sorces and keep the cars still at the tracks?
Here is my little story to it, i bought a wheeler from another brand at the beginning of 2016, but could not set it up to my driving and could'nt get off of the dex410, cause i like them!
Now got a new v5 and the other branded car will be up for sale soon, or lands as a roller in the shelf, for sure because i got the v5 for a great price too, but i was playing with the purchase of it anyways.
Also was going to buy another 2WD car from a different brand, but couldn't let the dex210 go away for some reason, so i'll still driving it...
May i'm still holding on at an sinking boat, who knows, but i will run mine, till i can't get parts for them anymore!

yea, I've got enough parts to build a couple durango 408 vehicles, so I've just stuck with them, especially since I've only used around 5 parts in the past year?
I've got a design for a 2WD Durango buggy (210F based) to have one 1/18 scale motor powering each rear wheel individually. The plan is to then program an Arduino or MSP430 chip to drive the outside motor harder around a turn.
But I have no way of machining the 2 parts I need right now...

Here are a couple. The battery would sit across or down the chassis in from of the motors. With the motors being smaller, the battery can be slid a little closer to the suspension than normal mid motor buggies. Granted the chassis is heavier as well. I'm not sure how much the 2wd buggy will benefit from this setup, but I hope to do a "torque-vectoring" ebuggy next. It's just very hard to choose a motor with the right power/kv to match what gears you can fit in it.
