Oh, that looks nice! Does the spring perch have a set screw to hold it onto the piston shaft?

The HB shock is arguably the smoothest 1/12 shock built, unfortunately it isn't made anymore. There is alternative though http://www.reflexracing.net/Team-Pri...et_p_2232.html it uses a set screw to hold the spring perch on just like the HB shock did. The Team Prime shock is an upgraded version of the HB shock with a tinitride coated shaft and machined piston.

Is the Team Prime shock still available or is it discontinued also?

Anyone know if Team Prime has a web site? I like to see what the Japanese manufacturers are up to. When I was searching I found a reference to a chassis that uses their shock...the Japanese made TRG114 F1 car.

For those with RC12R5.x, I have a servo question. I've read a number of posts that state that the Futaba S9650 is a direct fit with the existing chassis holes. How about the JR Z3650, would that require either drilling new holes or using servo tape?

Also, how durable are the plastic gears in the Futaba? Are most of you upgrading to the metal gears?

Just trying to plan my purchases, thanks!

I've used the JR Z3650 in 12R5.x cars for the past 3+ years. They work great. You should have no issues with them.

I know the servo itself is great, but I was asking about mounting holes specifically. Does it line up with existing chassis holes, or did you have to drill new ones and/or use servo tape?
