Nice job from the Logan club to put on an enjoyable race this weekend. Track was presented really well, with new marshall spots and stairs definitely appreciated. Thanks for the hard work. Totally trouble free race organisation sometimes goes unnoticed, but you guys did an excellent job yesterday (I'm looking at you Rob and Shane).

Some good racing too, sometimes close, sometimes just a little crazy, but always fun!

Default Interclub Round 2 SCRCCC Nomination forms & info.

Hi guys. The nomination forms for round 2 are in the file attachment (a complete PDF document & fill in form only in Word format). The dates are 13th -15th of June. The club hopes to present a terrific event, but we need heaps of entries for the best possible standard or racing. Keep sending the entries in.

Go to the Action RC 2014 SEQ ON-ROAD INTERCLUB website at http://www.actionrc.com.au/?page_id=8727 for more information.

The club has yet not been able to get formal permission for camping at the track, as the person responsible at the council has been away for a few days. We think there won’t be a problem with this formality however, so it is an option to consider. We’ll update as soon we can, and we hope it won't be a problem.

The Track will be open for practice from midday Friday. See you all there!

Kindest regards,
Lars.

Default Last chance to get some race practice before the Interclub.

Sunday June 1st. will be the last race meeting before the big round 2 Interclub Challenge, and last chance to get some race practice at the track before the event.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

On the entry form it says 5min races for SuperStock and Stock, 6min for 21.5 and that you are running to orrca rules. The orrca rules say that you race 6mins in those classes. Which rules will you be running to? local club rules? or orrca rules? Also, how long a race will the support class superstock on foam run for? and which rules will this class be running to? club rules? brendale rules? or orcca rules?

Not being funny but does it really matter if you run for 5 or 6 minutes? How about you just rock up and have abit of fun with it

yes it does matter, for one, interclub is a series of 3 races and there needs to be consistency in rules between all rounds. And also, rules need to be clear so that everyone is on the same page. Logan ran 6 min races for these classes so why have sunny coast changed this.

And the default race length for 21.5, stock and superstock is 6 mins, so why change to 5 mins when everyone already races 6 min races. It changes how people will gear their cars, and will give a huge advantage to someone who has the time during the week to go test and find out how bigger FDR they can run with a 5min race and still keep their motor under 90 Deg.

As we all know, we gear for MAX temp at the end of the race. This has the potential to have a strong bias towards the local drivers who may or may not run to 5 mins already.

And as for come and have fun, well it is a race meeting and we race to win, not to come second, if this was boxing, no one would be saying the jump in the ring with Tyson and have some fun, when they are a light middle weight HAHAHA.

Could you give us a list of your ssf results so that we know it would actually affect you, or are you just putting pressure on people you don't get on with? Duane

It effects everyone who races these classes, I am just bringing up the issue. It does not matter if I am top 5 or bottom 5, it still has the same effect on all of them. Thank you for taking an interest. Are you racing these classes? How do you think it will effect you and your gearing and preparation? I thought you raced 21.5 are you stepping up to Stock or Super Stock for interclub? let me know which one you are nominating in Duane and I will make sure to be in the same class as you. Wil be fun to race against you.

Ahh Robert Powel, the gift that keeps on giving. Don't pm me with your garbage, everybody knows that I don't race, and with your comments of support why would I want too. Duane

Thanks for keeping the thread alive Rupert. It should hopefully generate more interest for the Interclub Challenge.

Kindest regards,
Lars.
