TLR 8IGHT E 3.0 THREAD

I can see how the blues would be better than the reds. I ordered some splits today and silver front springs. Although I think the greens are going to best if I keep running no front anti roll bar?

65 degrees with hard gridirons. medium would have been better but I did figure out the hards will be dialed later this summer in the dry rough in hot weather. And on a prepped track at night they will work no matter what. The kit is working great. And thank you gents for all your in put.
I ran some Medium grids earlier and they were a bit better in the dry as long as I stayed in the groove.

Well good news gents. My kit was rocking last night. Only one that had anything for me was Taylor James and his SK. I out qualified him and held him off a quarter of the race then dorked it. But I kept him in sight and then it happened, he dorked it....LOL TQ and the win baby. Still some off power issues but this week I am sure that will be done with. I will post a set up for our track soon.
I am concluding the CSI pistons are great but not for the mammoth jumps we run. The pack is good but the rebound is to fast. Going to change to 8-1.3 and splits in the rear. Hard landings its great but then bounces back up to fast and unsettles the kit. It makes the kit feel over sprung on the rebound after a flat landing. Ended up with 27.5 in the front and 30 in the rear to calm it down. This week I will work on it. I may turn the rears flange upward? But pretty sure I will be changing the pistons. The kit was smooth and consistent all night long. Even though I wanted more in the apex. I will get a link to the results up when they post them. The averages were unbelievable. And there were 2 other 3.0 kits out there now to.
I didn't test the push control. Out of time to play around. We had rain coming in and only 2 rounds of quals.
And I have to put in a plug for AKA. They are having a close out on Hard compound Gridirons. I am telling you guys that these tires were the best tire I have ever ran in Medium but the Hards were like cheating and the wear was almost zero. And get this every one thought I was nuts cause it was only 50 degrees out last night.
But let me just say it was like having tacks stuck threw the tire on forward bite and a semi bald tire on side bite. I also tried the Hard Ibeams. And DAMN!! If you look the only way you can tell I ran them was by the scuffs on the wheels. At the start of the day I tested them on the dry ruff track. It was like running a medium Gridirion on side bite and with 10X the forward bite..
I didn't waste all my testing time last night LOL...

Well I will be the test rat. I took some time out to tinker with my shocks. They have a lot of stiction. So I took the center shim out from between the o-rings. Man what a difference. If they don't leak they are going to be way smoother. I will post back with results next time out.

I joined the 8ight E 3.0 club this weekend. Bought a gently used 3.0 with a Tekin Gen 2 RX8 and 1900 on Saturday. Drove it today at the local indoor track and it performed fantastic. The previous owner swapped the battery and ESC positions to help balance it out. Anyone else do this mod? Seemed to work, but I really can't compare since I didn't drive it before the mod.
I still have my 8ight E 2.0 and plan on keeping it cause I've only had it a few months and would like to get it set up like the 3.0.

I had the 2.0 when I first bought my e 3.0 and came to realize that I would never ever be able to get the steering out of it like my 3.0. Two totally different beasts IMO. Sold the 2.0 two weeks later.

I believe that mod is used to give it more of a "nitro" feel. Some folks run them with an optional clutch setup as well to help emulate this "feel". I wanna say Drake ran it like that recently.... Did good with it but Phend kept his in the stock setup and did great with it.

My thinking is the battery mod is going to give more off power steering and forward bite out of the turns. So it should give more on power steering more off power and forward bite. I am at 4 degree rear toe to get more forward bite. Oddly and I think its the front bite it has a spin and a drift with my 3.0.

Does anyone know if these are for the shock body over the threads? Or for the shock cap. I am looking for a ring seal for the cap so o don't have to cut up a bladder.
