Does anyone know a way to take a tire of a rim. I have a bunch of good tires I want to use on a different car than the rim is for

Let them sit in acetone over night. That should do it.

Turn your oven on 350 once hot, put tires in for 10 minutes. Turn off oven and let the tires cool for 15 minute in the oven. White rims will yellow the foams will be shot but the rubber will be good and the glue will be easy to pull off with fingers. The acetone trick works but i put a cup of acetone in a bucket then the tires around the cup and cover the bucket and just the fumes will remove the glue. Acetone gives me a headache for like a week. That stuff is superbad for you.

I've boiled them, baked them, and tried acetone - acetone works best.

Work outdoors to avoid the headaches.

Only rubber I've seen affected is off road clay compounds. Not sure if any on road compounds would be affected.

I was wondering about this too. I want to remove/clean my jacos and reglue them. I wish all those spec tires would come unglued.

I know what you're asking, my post reflects my experience with a known compound. Which lets other members who may know of any similar compounds comment on which ones may be affected. Since you don't say which tires you're trying to remove.

they shrunk when I left them in acetone over night, they were fine for a couple hours.

Acetone looses its strength over time/use, with fresh acetone I can remove tires in as little as 1 hour, with used acetone it takes a lot longer. And yes it will destroy some inserts.

i use a 5 gallon bucket with a little acetone poured into the bottom. then i put the wheels/tires on a wire rack to suspend them above the acetone. i then seal the jug and reopen the next day.

experiences may vary, but ive never lost a wheel, foam, or tire using this method.
