Default 2nd Hand Nova Rossi

I got a 2nd Hand Nova Rossi .21CC Buggy engine and this engine is my first engine ever. This engine has 4 needles on it (low, high, idle and im not sure about the other one) I put the set-up as 4 turns for high and 1 1/2 turns for the low, made the four unknown needle flush as that is what I got told. I started it and it went up to 340F and than stalled Im new to this whole thing and am not quite sure what to do now.

Cheers

the "unknown" is actually the midrange.

http://www.rbproducts.com/mainEn.php...0.21%20engines

this shows you the base needle setting for an RB .21 engine. specs may differ on the engine itself but the RB carb should be similar if not the same as your novarossi unit. it also has a great deal of info on how to tune your engine. hope this helps.

set the idle screw so the carb is open about the thickness of a matchbook cover ~ 0.5mm- 1.0mm.

I'm guessing the low end needle is not open far enough. Open it about 3 turns from bottomed out. To set this, open the slide valve (carb) all the way and bottom the screw out- then back the screw out 3 turns. You are probably in the park with the high end needle- at least to keep it running.

How many starts would a 1800mah glow plug starter do?

Cheers

Can anyone one help me name the engine?
I know it is a Nova Rossi. It has a purple/violet heat sink, .21 and says R Buggy CL on top.

Cheers

Ok this is a Novarossi CLB as it was called.

Very good engine... Wont let you down... It has a lot of low end push and not as much high end power... But overall an excellent engine. Good choice.

By the way dont let it run at 375!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor little engine

Here is your link to some tech data

http://www.nitroreview.com/TheDatabase/homeengines.cfm

Scroll down to .21 engines and click Novarossi CLB
