FYI, I updated the thread name to be more accurate and cover not only the Gen 2 RS but the RSX as they are shipping at the end of the month (per A-Main's website).

I also wanted to post that I've been running the RSX in mod touring a bit in the last week, and have been very impressed. Earlier posts in this thread mentioned concerns about temperature and the need for an aluminum case. Well the RSX has a very nice aluminum case, and heat is not an issue.

I accidentally tested the capabilities of the ESC to reject heat, I forgot to plug in the fan after changing a setting with Hotwire. I ran a 5 minute qualifier with a Tekin 6.5 motor, and a fair bit of boost thrown at it. With the fan on the ESC, but not running, at the end of the run the ESC was only 140F (according to the datalog, my temp gun on the case showed it at 125F). That is a very cool running ESC for how much power was taken out of the battery and how fast the car was. On runs with the fan on the ESC and running, it comes off the track at 120 or below in the datalog and about 110 on the case itself. No worries about overheating this ESC!

I get now. The esc has a finite amount of mememory. If I one a single run of 10 min or multiple 1 min runs, the same volume of data is stored. I need to lower the data collection points fonlonfer runs, save my runs and reset every time. That actualy makes sense. Thanks for the help.

Hey Guys,
Looking for a ESC setup for 5.5t, track is low traction, has 65 metre main straight, a similar design to Mach Heemstede track but slightly smaller.
Just received my new RSX love just need more speed on straight.
Current settings are: boost 15, turbo 15, ramp 1, delay 2.0, boost RPM 3200-22000 and FDR is 7.57 so any help will be good

Hey Randy...on the Tekin website on Ty Campbell's sheet it shows 20 degrees endbell timing but shows 100 motor timing in the Boost/Turbo Setting section. What does the endbell timing do?

If the timing shows 100 he's likely in dual mode. Link me to the sheet so I can look, Ty's got quite a few up there...

Try this:

5k start, 30k end, 25 boost.

Turbo 10, ramp 2, delay 1.0

No gear change.

Note that in general 3200 is too low for Mod TC boosting. Try to stay above 5k especially if there is ANY motor timing in the can.

I have an issue with my gen2 RS.

If the receiver and power wire are bent a certain way coming out of the esc, it will not turn on and heat up the esc.

What the heck is happening?

Hi John,

I can help you out at the Hanger/Gym on Saturday, assuming your heading our way, if you cannot get it worked out with info from Tekin. I just had mine open last night to set it up for my WGT. I removed the switch wiring since it will be turned on and off by the 1s booster switch. We can see if its an obvious issue that is easily fixed. I also have a spare RS or RS Pro you are welcome to use.

Default 1s tekin?

Is there still going to be a 1s tekin built? I remember reading there was going to be one, but that has been some time ago.
Thanks and God Bless
