I guess the cat is out of the bag..
I have 2 different prototype engines I have been working with.....a .19 Buggy engine and a .22 truggy engine......The .22 is essentially a up stroked Top .21 7 port...and the .19 is a de-stroked Bonito...... The .19 is a little ripper with a great buggy specific powerband.... full broad RPM range, revs very high but has great trigger response at low RPM without being overly powerful.....And the .22 revs like a Bonito but has more grunt at low Speeds and seems to get even better runtimes......

Hmmm.....Virtus or Proto .19 for buggy only......

I think a Virtus is going to be a beast ! so i guess it depends what tickles your fancy

Well didn't get the clocked Virtus on the track this weekend, the rain gods won the fight, The virtus in a buggy will be a real hold on to the seat of your pants, running it on the black top breaking it in so far the engine is pulling harder than the bonito, more bottom and more rpm in the top end but its smooth right off the line too, more to come

Clocked Novarossi Virtus .21, Neal at CRE had all ready broken the engine in for me so I got it out on the black top so as to run some more fuel through the engine before the State Title event in 10 days time, here is some footage in my Xray XT9.

THAT P5 cleared everything all day long. Keep in mind it was 90F outside ran a whole 25min A main with only 2 pit stops NO FLAME OUTS unlike our competitors that had problems. Also this motor has 5gals + on it. yes that right. was awesome. Ran it on a nova 9886 pipe short header and M2C 4-1.0's on it. The carb insert was the orange mizer too, i came in at 9min during full race conditions.

You should defiantly try out a .19 for buggy. you will be very surprised. that thing runs awesome. If you see on the video it clears jumps effortlessly and traction isn't high bite its loose and rough.

Just a couple of questions for clockwork, regarding their clocked Roma .25, what runtimes do you get with it, in a truggy, race conditions, and why isn't a ceramic rear standard on (the modded) Roma, just because of price, or is it not needed/warranted, or some other reason? Thanks

The Roma is awesome...some guys have seen as high as 12 minutes from the modified version...... We offer the ceramic as a upgrade option..it just costs a little more......definitely a good idea to add the ceramic rear, especially if your on a big track with high speeds and RPM......
