Well, that's true, but the gearboxes and outdrives aren't new products, so it that really doesn't apply here. I do applaud the fact that they are active on forums unlike every other vehicle designers.

Since I have to tear the truggy down to redo all my diff anyway, I may order a new gearbox and replace it before it breaks. I'm not wild about the $18.32 that it will cost though, but I hate have to tear a car down and wait or week or two to rebuild it, which would be the case if it broke, had to be sent in, wait for evaluation, reorder it, and wait for it to arrive. I guess I could look at the price as a $10 convenience fee ($8ish for shipping both ways if using the warranty). My LHS orders parts for customers to save them on shipping, but they may not get it direct from Tekno, so I'll probably end up with what I already have.

Dont get me wrong there could be defective issues but I think that the majority is driving styles. This by no means says that any of you are bad drivers, just hard on your equiptment. Also overtightening puts extra strain on things also. Tekno will be at the Ice Breakers Race in Garland next weekend and I am going to try and talk with them and get their opinion on all of this also. If any one wants to race there is still slots available for E-Truggy.

LOL no driving style on a race track will wear cups into out drives in 30min of use... obviously not all of them are bad but more and more are seeing this. There must have been some off quality batches. Doesn't matter tekno isn't doing the right with those who have them and making it right, so its a mute point.

What version are they, any pics?

I just finished replacing all the diff shims. Tomorrow is the start of our escale truggy and buggy points series, it'll be the first that I have ran the truggy. Hoping for a good Race day and to bring the truggy home in one piece.

What's everyone running for the steering arm length. The stock setup looks like a lot of toe out.

1st race meet today for the ET48 and after 4 full packs absolutely zero wear on the out-drives, diffs are clear and rear diff housing held up on a track full of huge jumps !!! Happy as with the beast.

Might be an odd request, but could someone post a picture of the kit box? I want to get an idea of how big it is ... or measure the length x wid x height in inches and let me know? Thanks ...
