What was your exact problem? It seems very strange that they're asking you to pay for anything that is a known issue with one run of parts. Especially when noone else has had to pay for it.
Apparently the rear diff housing had a problem and are breaking at the chassis brace. Mine did and so did a few others at the track.

They said they are replacing them for free but want u to ship ur old one in then they give you a coupon code and u get one for free just pay shipping so really not worth the hassle after u pay shipping both ways.

I've had real good luck with them in the past. I know it's something little just kinda frustrating.

well. there was a case problem, they are working on it. They are working with customers. Mugen has been busting a arms for years and they don't do CRAP. My buddy called them once and they told him that he needs more practice. Tekno never let me down before and I am sure they wont this time

I got the 1271SG. Running through a mamba monster 2 internal BEC running at 7V. Other specs are 2200kv castle motor, futaba R603FF, turnigy 20C 4s 5800mah lipo, 15T pinion.

I got the servo from eBay and it came with a racers edge glitch buster cap. I used it because even castle support themselves said that the savox are so inefficient that I would need an external BEC. I haven't tried it without the glitch buster, but I've had zero issue so far. This was so much to my surprise so I'm stoked, because I cbf wiring up a separate BEC.

I don't understand why I would get a hitec that costs 3x the price with half the rated speed/torque...It's probably one of those things like I haven't experienced the ultimate quality yet, so I don't understand. But is it really worth that much more?!

If I had my time over, I would've got a stronger servo. This one is OK, but once those big wheels get some rpm I could use a little more torque!
Next time you need a servo and you like Savox check out the 1283. About $5 more than the one you bought and it's real strong. I've been running one in my truggy for going on 3 years without a problem, it snaps the tires back and forth!

I did consider that guy, I went with the 1271 for the extra speed. I think I'll go with the newer HV 1270TG next time! Or protek 170S depending how stretchy my wallet is when the time comes...

Yeah I saw the problems, just wasn't sure the issue with how it was being dealt with, now I am.

It made the body so much more sturdy. I have a bit more confidence it will hold up longer. I hope so anyways!

For those of you that are having problems with TKR5016B we have a warranty solution for you. I had posted this in the EB48 and SCT410 threads but must have missed adding it to this thread.

We can give you 100% off if you send the TKR5016B into us, please follow these instructions:

You must send the warranty eligible part(s) back to us for replacement (Pictures will not suffice).

Here is a list of what to include with your shipment:
The part(s) in question.
A note with your return address, telephone number, and email address.
Optional – any information about your setup (motor, voltage, wheels, tires, etc.). The info you provide will help us to make our products better.

Please send the above items to:
Tekno RC
ATTN: WARRANTY / REPAIR
10755 Scripps Poway Pkwy #598
San Diego CA 92131

You can speed the process along by filling out this form before sending in your parts:

http://www.teknorc.com/tekno5/wp-con...erSaveable.pdf

Once we receive your part along with the information above we will issue a coupon code via email good for 100% off of a replacement. Add the TKR5016B to your cart, go to checkout and enter the coupon code. Your discount should appear. Proceed through checkout normally and we’ll get the order processed ASAP.

Thanks for choosing our products!

Tekno RC Customer Support

That is awesome support,, make your loyal consumer pay for shipping a broken part with known issues and defects that will cost about the same as it is to grab it off the shelf new?? Really?? Sorry someone has to call it as it is.... Tekno time to step up here and make it right.. you want the part for inspection to maybe improve something, cover shipping.

BTW I've seen this part fail with my own eyes.. it is a defect, tekno acknowledged the defect, I'm lost on why this is even in question.

I didn't see mention if the shipping of the new housing is free or not. Tekno's priority shipping is like 8$. Just curious if once we foot the $ for shipping if we will have to pay to get it back?
