Reinaldo is correct on the tire wear on the ions...but they are pretty darn good for those 2 races. Last night I was running clay compound scrubs up front and m3 protons in back and they were also good.

definitely high tire wear with ions. But, as will said, they are money for the races when there's tread on them. They're my "a-main" tires.

Pressure Points have held up well on my 17.5 SC and Buggy. Not too bad on my ST when I ran a 13.5 in it. Got a full indoor season last year out of all 3 sets and if the foams hadn't broken down I would have run them this year for a while too.

Now for the ugly. I shredded a set of new narrow wishbones in a single night in 4wd SC. Ions on my 4wd buggy are looking haggard too after only one race day.

I think it boils down to how much wheelspin an individual vehicle can create. In lower powered applications these tires may make sense for you. High powered, maybe not so much.

Last time I checked, Phu, I lap you long time in A-main with bar tire. Sum Ting Wong with your tire. Why you no run bar tire!

Was some real good racing in 4wd buggy Reinaldo...john and Eric w are both real fast with those xrays. Ed and phu were also real fast with the b44.2. If you watch the video John and I were battling and he jumped and landed on my roof, and ed picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel lol...either one plus Erik or phu could have taken it. Poor puma has seemed to scare away all competition in 17.5 buggy and he had to run with the 4wds but still was fast. Bert had his new 22-4 that car looks pretty sweet...

Sounds like you guys had some fun. As you know, I have to be in work early on most Thursdays. Otherwise, I could have been there to give Puma a run for his money in 17.5 buggy.

Whatever did happen to the 17.5 buggy class? Most or all of the 17.5 SC guys have a 17.5 buggy...

17.5 or mod, i don't care. all i care about is running my buggy.

i tried sc trucks, not my thing at all.
i tried 4wd buggy, holy crap too fast for this guy.

2wd buggy fit just right. lol

next week, or the following depending if WNW runs next week, i plan on having 3 2wd buggys with me, vintage, rear motor and a mid motor.

lol. well played. I forgot to apply my special tire sauce when you last beat me. I get it from this russian guy on rctech named, Yuri Nater. The tires are real wet initially, but it drys quickly. You don't even need a heat gun. It comes in this unlabeled plastic cup. I can give you some next time.

By, they way. Will/John, can you make sure you put in my middle name into the racing computer? It's Will. So, my full name is, "Phu Will Huynh" (Huynh's pronounced "hwin"). So, when I TQ, you need to announce on the video, "And your TQ is Phu Will Huynh. lol

Good times in 4wd buggy, really enjoying that class. Picked up some new front tires, the baldies just weren't working for me to well.

Also, Hara to Yokomo http://ets.redrc.net/2014/01/hara-re...h-yokomo-deal/
