Interesting. Unfortunately, Amain carries many things that Tower doesn't. With the codes Tower offers, I wish that were not the case.

They aren't so great anymore....but still better than everyone else. I've got $250 of cashback sitting on one of my credit cards and prolly about another $150 combined on 2 others. If I see $100 off $600, I'll be using all of it the moment I see it.

I use ceramics in almost everything other than bearings that have a high thrust load, such as the rear diff which gets shimmed from the sides(ceramics don't hold up as well to this type of load). They last FAR longer, and don't require maintinence like lubing, as ceramics are basically self lubricating to a point, they spin very freely even when they are dry. For me it is more about staying tighter for longer, and not having to waste time dismantling stuff to replace bearings so often. Consider that a $1/bearing sounds cheap, but it's still $24/set, and an $80 set of ceramics will last about 3 times as long, and you don't waste time with swapping out all those bearings those 3 times, well worth it in my opinion, and yes, I do run in dust, loose dirt, wet conditions etc., outdoor mostly. That is my experience, but I will agree that the bearings in the Tekno kits are definitely some of the better steele bearings, especially from a kit.

Yes, NorCal Hobbies is closing, but they are looking for a new location. Hopefully they can find room for another 1/8th track.

Oh well, didn't work for me today. Ordered nearly $300 without any discounts, I'm fairly sure my wallet won't self destruct. LOL Just bugs me not to get a deal now and then when I spend loads of money with them a year. I get good service and most of the time fair prices so I'm not going to bitch too loud.

I'm going with the Tekin Gen 2 T8 2000kv Truggy motor for mine. (On 4S)

Tekin 2000kv truggy motor (long can) is what I'm going with, it has all the power you will need on 4s for racing or bashing.

I wonder if Austin Blairs setup for the ET48 will be posted after this comes out?

Once funds allow it I want to get another Viper VTX8 with the new 2700 viper motor.

Know a few guys that may run this class now at PNB and AMS.

You guy's think I could get away with useing a 1900kv? It's the older red can motor, but has never been run, it was a spare for my buggy. Or would I be pushing it with a lower kv motor? I'd rather not fry a new motor, and if getting the higher kv motor is the way to go then I'll do that. I race on a med size track, good lap is about 30to35 sec, if that helps in sizing the motor??

I don't see why not, the truck isn't that much heavier than an RC8.2E and a 1900 will pull that around with no problems. Plus you already have the motor so the price is right.
