Hey Pat, have you noticed how much diffrent the weight is from the S1 from the graphite? I was wondering if the top decks were a significant difference. Have you tried putting the S1 top deck on your graphite car to see if there is a change in flex? Been bouncing around the idea to order one and find out. I was hoping that it would be stronger but provide as much flex as the ones we ran at the reedy race.
thanks

Impactplayer......I dont have pic's of the brace that I made but what Adrian said is an even better idea then the cutting of a pice of graphite to make a brace. I have pics of the mod and what it looks like on the car if you want me to post them I can, so if you or anyone else needs to see it again let me know.

Just a thought on the rollcentre mod guys..
would it be possible to use either of the rear hinge pin blocks as the rear end mount, and the standard front mount with a carbon brace underneath to bring it up higher...
the rear blocks could be raised in the same manner by using a carbon plate underneath each block...
does anyone know how much the hingepins are raised over standard using the fireblade parts?

The roll center mod for the front actually makes it the same as the rear. So using the rear blocks for the front will raise the pins without spacing them up.

It's here!!!
My Mission is here!!
Rob Love-I am going to set the car up exactly as your set-up above, except I am adding the roll-center Mod and trying 8.5 degrees of caster.
I am also going to try the Losi shaft/Assoc. piston set-up. Any specific shock length to shoot for?? I am running 2.25" foams.
See ya soon on the carpet!!!

Shocks again!!
IMPACT-thanks!!! Too bad I sold my totally tricked out XXXS to compare back to back to this one. Well-I still have my totally modified TC3 to compare to!!!
So set shock length in and or around 63mm. No problem-I know what to do from here. I also have another set of threaded shocks I can build. Any recommendations on a set-up with the stock adjustable pistons?? Something a tad softer maybe then the Losi/Assoc. set-up? Maybe build two stiffer and two softer than the Losi/Assoc. set-up?? any idea where to set the pistons?
Thanks guys!! I have to apologize-I am an information junkie when i get a new car to test with!!!

Ray, My fellow foam carpet racer Try #2 with the vari piston and 70 weight all around. Paul used that at the Snowbirds and I tried it and it worked great. Everything has worked thus far. Just trying to make it better and better. The roll center mod is "AWESOME"....
You're gonna love it. It is fast in stock and of course in mod. Lots of steering, but stuck like a duck. It's awesome.....

QUACK!!!
Not to throw a wrench in the mix, but I wish I had the time to test with the shocks on my Serpent Vector. They are the easiest to bleed, easiest to build, easiest to adjust shocks! Maybe if we ever get a permanent track in Cleveland....
Thanks Rob, You know I am gonna start rebuilding it tonight!!!

Ray, I am not sure of the shock body size of the Serpent. The standard Shchuie shocks are fine. I just tried the mod that Kevin K recommended and it works. If you are not happy with the mod on the shocks or the stock I guess you could give it a try, but I am sure you will like on of the other two.....
Get that thing rebuilt and bring it down next week for some bashing...................
