I picked mine up on Friday, I'm about 70% through the build now. As anyone who's built an X-Ray car knows the fit and finish is second to none. Everything goes together without hassle and there's really no guessing required, the instructions give multiple views during any step that might be questionable. There's been some posts on the XB4 thread about the shocks leaking, some have opted to use Kyosho o-rings rather than the ones provided, I'm not there yet so we shall see.

I'm trying to get it together for WNW but it's going to be tight, at the least I should have it built by then minus the electronics.

Thanks Eric for the input. It looks like an awesome 4wd. Might have to try one out!

Yes, but his Serpent sponsorship does not preclude him from running any particular 1:10 4wd buggy, which they do not make.

Also, he complains that his Lazer had two or three prior owners and so he wants something "fresh." I was betting on Durango or Schumacher, but I guess XRay is the next brand he'll be grabbing his ankles for.

Define "sponsored", if he's getting kits for free then great. If he's getting 5% off the MAP price then that's not sponsored, that's call free advertising for Serpent.

sponsorship = buying too much crap at a discount

went through that phase back in the late 80's.. I was young and naïve.

All I want for Xmas is a tire sponsor. I can stick to just one brand... Promise.
