trouble with redcat sumo...

Exclamation trouble with redcat sumo...

Hey im new to rc and have a question. i have a redcat sumo and when i ht the trigger hard from a stop it makes a click sound and kinda pulls to one side... im thinking the click sound may be coming from the pinion gear but dont understand why it would pull to one side.. any help will be greatly appreciated.. thank you

Bro, that brand is not entry level RC world... it's evolution toys!
But they are all toys, lol!

Anyway... that sintom is a broken diff, for sure!

Clicking noise and side pull are the diffs! Open them and see a broken teeth somewhere in the drivetrain.

Bet they are plastic teeth! If the model have spares, get a a new spare...but first check if is it... my bet is on a lack of teeth...or wear teeth, skipping a lot of them in the middle!

u need to open the diffs for sure and i have the sumo truggy and they are just fine rcs

yeah, sumos are fine entry level cars, but like all rc's they need maintenance.

check the diffs, they may just need to be shimmed for better gear mesh. If you have a local hobby shop, you might want to see if they have someone to take a look at it with you, assuming you are new to the hobby.
