I notice after following the link to the USVTA/USGT rules that it doesn't mention the new tire rule for USGT.

The new tires were amazing all weekend . ran a set for 2 club races and my son ran my 2012 with they same setup/tires all weekend at the us indoor champs he had fast laps every round and one tap cost him tq. And had the main raped up till last lap where he got stuck in a back marker which cleared the way for bill sydor to take the win . this kid(Matthew Lyons) + xray+ride tires = super fast car!

@Darkside,
I am familiar with the rules changes, but thanks for the update. I was just saying that the site didn't seem to have the updated rules, or maybe the link took us to an old spot.
Anyone done a side-by-side performance comparison between the X-pattern D compounds and the new tires?

I have no hard data, just observations: The X-Patterns seem to have just a bit more grip on a low-traction surface. When the traction comes up, the X-Patterns start chirping due to the tread (at least when it's still fairly deep), and the advantage then seems to go to the Rides.
