I would be fine with free practice on Sundays for onroad and maybe another free practice night too during the week.

Good job racing today guys. Grats to Willie for a first time mini guy and kicking @&* with it, and grats to Vue for the triple crown win today.

ok now, 4 things:

1.) So there will be Tuesday night on-road practice. Should the interest grow, we may change that to a Tuesday night race night, but we will see.

2.) The MARCCA on-road crew will be heading up to Oshkosh the Saturday following Thanksgiving weekend for a day of racing. We can talk carpooling and such this coming Sunday. I will post something on their thread.

3.) We will be starting our point series for on-road the Sunday after Thanksgiving weekend. We can either do an 8 week program with 2 drops or a 10 week program with 3 drops. I favor the latter but whatever we all decide is cool with me.

4.) Classes! These are the classes we will be running with the major rules below

F1 - 190mm width or less with rubber tires, 21.5 blinky

VTA - VTA rules apply although we will be lax on the driver

17.5 Blinky - Um... 17.5 Blinky...

Mini - 2wd chassis, Mabuchi motor or 21.5 Blinky with REASONABLE timing. It will be up to the race directors discretion if your timing needs to be turned down or not

The rules for Mini are still in the discussion stages but we are all adults and we can make it all work.

If you have something else and you want to come run, please, by all means do. We can always make something work. Those aren't the only classes we will run, they are just the classes we run most consistently. 3 makes a class!

If anyone can think of anything else, speak up.

See you next Sunday guys,
Jake

Jake, when will the Tuesday night practices start? Also what is the cost for non-members for the night? I have two USGT cars to get the bugs out. And the driver too!

Tuesday night practice starts this week. Door should open shortly after 5pm. I want to say practice is 5 dollars for non members. Guys correct me if I'm wrong.

Default shouts to the race director...

A big thanks Jake...

Not a task I would want or have the patience to do, but an absolute necessity.

Perfect;y run program.

Yes, the program ran very well. Nice to see the good turnout for on road. Sorry we don't have anything to run in a class at the moment. Would like to make it this Tuesday for practice but after Jason hit a pipe at like 100mph I won't have parts until Wed. to put his T6 back together.

How has the Mini class turn out been?

Is it common for most people to run the Tamiya M-05's M-06's and such?

I thought the mini class was tamiya only?

Things seemed to have settled in a bit. If you have been looking at something I would say get it and bring it. You can always practice with it and most of the guys are practicing together in groups I have noticed so you will get an idea of how it compares and if it is close I am sure no one would mind you racing it in the class it is closest to.

Things have a way of sorting themselves out. The biggest thing is to make the effort to let people know what you have and that you want to try and run it. John usually has his little RPM dyno at the track so you would get an idea of what to dial it down to if it were to be a problem.

Well, there is a crew of guys from Oshkosh that have HPI cup racers but it is my understanding they have disabled the 4wd. What I am trying to do is keep the class fun and competitive. I am just looking to keep out the ultra-competitive sedan type chassis from taking over. If you want to run something else I would suggest coming to the track on a Sunday and talk to guys before you buy something new. I am not saying you wouldn't be able to run something else if you already had something, but you may not be counted in our points series. I would say that most of us are very reasonable. That being said, if you want to bring something out just to try and get a negative reaction and start controversy, please don't. Thanks and that's all I've got!

I think I'll swing by the track and see what the guys are running. My thought was a M-05 with a 21.5 but I just want to see if that's similiar to everyone else. I wouldn't mind racing onroad with Stan and Vue again, or being passed by them I should say.

I think that the rwd chassis m06 is better suited to shorter, high grip carpet tracks. I have a m05 and a m06 and the m06 its always faster because it can put the power down better. If you already have an m05, bring it out anyway and have fun!

Found my Castle Link, I'll bring it and keep it in my pit box.

What time is open today? Oh, I'm an idiot, 5:00 like it says.
