After switching to Byron's from VP I had to lean the Hsn and Lsn almost a full turn with both engines I run and that is a sign of a better fuel IMO!
Think about it another way, it could be related to why everybody stresses how important break-in is. Break-in is the absolute hardest thing on an engine, and if anything is going to fail, go wrong, or prematurely wear, it will be during this stage. So it makes sense to change a Rod and bearing as soon as the pinch is gone. Like Houston said in the parenthesis, he has seen bearings prematurely fail, but it is possible it was due to improper break-in.

That being said, I went from Byrons to VP, back to Byrons, then finally to Werks. The protection Werks offers is second to none, may not be the most powerful, or offer the best runtime, but I will never switch back to any other brand of fuel.

Those of you running VP fuel please remember that VP has stated on many occasions that their fuel is not meant for engine break in. Get a quart or 2 of their golden break in fuel or add oil to their 30/9 race blend. If you are using the race blend for break in you are asking for problems.

Yes, because they changed the bearing spec on the metal bearing.
The part number is the same, but the balls are smaller. I know on this forum it's considered bad tact to point out something wrong, but in this case they got this all wrong, they need to go back to the way it was before!
I can only advice people to make shure they get the ceramic rear if they're buying a Nova, or alternatively fit a TKO or something rear.
