Default Rs pro has some delay on bottom end

Got a rs pro in a parts lot that I bought. It came with what I believe is a 7.5t trinity brushless motor. The guy before me did not have the capacitor installed on the esc. I unsoldered everything and wired it back up with the capacitor in my 2wd slash LCG conversion. Running a 19t pinion on a 86t spur. Everything seems to function properly but it seems very soft on the bottom and and sometimes acts like it doesn't want to go at all but will eventually pick up and take off. I turned the throttle profile up to very aggressive and it seemed to help. I have this same esc in my Losi 22t and have never noticed this before. Any ideas? Is the esc damaged from not having a capacitor on it before?

Tekin (and most other manufacturers) state that ESC damage will occur if the ESC is run without the capacitor installed.

Do you have a Hotwire to see what the settings are in the ESC?
