Nice flyer, Nate. We were talking at the track about the class offerings. You'll need to add a Vintage 2wd class to this flyer. We want to get that going at club and trophy races to increase its exposure and help grow the class.

I was pleasantly surprised by the layout today. It looks simple in the pictures, but it is actually pretty challenging and it was a lot of fun racing today.

Youre going to kill the curiosity that is the vintage class by trying to offer it at every club and trophy race. The last thing we need is the dilution of racing by offering more classes.

What curiosity? Only a handful of people showed up today. It appears that the only way to get people talking about it (and getting their own) at the local level, outside of hosting the VONATs, is to offer it as another class, at least for the trophy races.

Or, maybe, only a handful of people really care about the vintage class?

You mean like Stadium Truck? We had that class going for a few weeks before Mod 2wd SC siphoned off racers. You can't grow a class if you assume nobody cares about it. Then the lack of interest/participation becomes self-fulfilling.

Mod...mod...mod...

The racer base isn't large enough to support multiple classes. There are simply too many tracks in CT.

And offering yet another class, be it vintage, wouldn't dilute the already existing classes like mod SC did to ST?

Hey Tony, thanks..the stand was moved to the other side about a year ago but we recently got more material to build up the track and the yellow pipes are new...

I think the point here is to encourage people to run more than one class (assuming, of course, that they can afford it). Also consider that the trophy races attract people beyond the immediate area, and if they see we will allow a vintage class, they might consider bringing their vintage chassis.

I think it's fair to say that each person has their own class preference. For some, it's SC. Others, it's mod anything. Others still, it's open wheel anything. I don't see a problem with being more inclusive.
