Well I would hope people running 3s would run the pro4 3300kv or the 3000kv hd(this would be easier on your electronics and still produce plenty of power). The 4600kv is only rated for up to 2s packs. But I guess there is always that guy that thinks he needs more power and will try it.

Well before I start a forum war of words... I meant no disrespect. I just was shocked to see a 3s option in the class. I would HOPE that a driver would run a slower wind motor with that much voltage on tap. I was thinking it would help for someone running a brushed motor (like a Traxxas Titan) or something. I just think that kind of power would work out on the big outdoor track. Indoor just seems scary. But I'm in no position to exert any influence on track policies. I'm not even a track regular. Again - no disrespect. I like racing there, and I don't want to jeapordize that with an offhand comment. Especially since 4wd SC is my favorite class.

Jack, there wont be a words of wars on this thread, and definately no disrespect my man. It is just not like that here. The couple of people who run a 3s that I know of are capable drivers that do just fine with it and have the ability.

A couple people do run the lower rated kv motors with the 3s for the reason that Tom had stated, easier on the electronics, or it seems that way for them. There is no one busting down the walls with a truck so rediculously fast that Superman needs to drive it. We are on top of things over here. See you Friday.

Thanks Lester. I just wanted to make sure I didn't open a can of worms. Sometimes stuff gets taken the wrong way and ignites a fued. Look what happened to the Barn forum... Didn't want that happening here. See you Fri.

One last question. Do you usually run 2 or 3 qualifiers on Fridays? I'm running multiple classes so I just need to plan how many batteries to bring per car.

I think that's more for people running a lower KV motor, Jack. I'm fairly certain anything over a 4000 KV would explode on 3S.

Actually, fwiw, last winter I was running 4s in my Tekno SC with a Tekin Pro4 rotor in a Tekin ROC crawler 1800KV can. No worries for this winter though, I have no plans to run SC :P
