I am using a Tekin T8 2050kv with a 17t pinion and a 40t spur left the 2 speed in with no issues nothing has broke I do have steel cvds. 4s is plenty just be causious when it shifts to 2nd wheels tend to go upside down oops. This is way faster than my emaxx

I have an extra 3.3 Roller that has the tekno motor mount and rustler rx box and steel cvds just needs motor and esc and radio with extra arms, pivot balls, spur gears, pinion and a few other parts for sale for $185 look just like my other one in previous page

I finally picked up my roller again and started getting it RTR. I ran into a problem. I have the CVD's for the center driveshafts. Whenever I have the front one connected, the front will not move. The Transmission is good and the front diff is good. I can't figure out why it does it when it's all connected.

So the 'hurricane' kept me inside, and I needed something to do to keep me occupied, so I decided to make my T-Maxx brushless powered. I wanted it to be unique, and I can't say I've seen it done this way, plus I didn't want to spend any money on an e-maxx chassis/tranny/rx box, etc..
I made a motor mount and the rest was easy. I had a Sidewinder SCT system sitting around doing nothing, so I used that. I figure the 3800kv 4 pole motor should be enough to push it around. If not, I left enough room for a 550 or a 1/8 motor. I think one of the new Tekin 4 pole 550's should be perfect if this one isn't enough.
I used a Jammin Crt.5/Scrt10 battery tray. I cut off the top so I can use velcro straps, I can also cut out one side of it and use 3s packs. I do plan on mounting a second battery tray on the other side of the tranny.
Due to the tranny being forward only, I had to keep the mechanical brakes, but I like that actually. Just picked up a Y adapter for it. It should be interesting to see how the auto 2spd works with the electric power. I'm sure I'll have to adjust it.
I used a 14t pinion in an effort to match the existing gear ratio, well it's way off. The truck has plenty of torque, enough to lift the wheels off the ground, but only goes about 10mph.
