I remember Scott Puma used a Boomerang at last year's VONATs and took down the the Classic win with it. So, that platform is certainly capable enough, and the Super HotShot can only be better with the independent front suspension.
Have you tried taking the ballstuds on the steering knuckles and flipping them to the other side? That may help with bump steer. Not sure how it's set up on the HotShot, but on the TA02 (which uses the same type of steering knuckles), the ball stud is mounted facing down...

From what I've read on the various boards it's pretty much a "yeah, it's gonna do that" type of thing.

Why is it that every time I go racing, you're conveniently "out" for that day? Someone's avoiding me
@ Trevor, if the plastic doesn't get you, the hex dogbones will. Thorp made an updgrade for it, but it's not cheap. What is your plan B chassis?
I had given serious thought to running classic this weekend, but I'm running three classes already and registration is expensive. Maybe one day I'll do classic. I have a wacky idea for a short wheelbase TA02 (as opposed to the longer wheelbase DF01) with wide arms, short shocks, rear stabilizer, truck body, and dual motors. I built the roller with everything except the dual motor setup, which may or may not be classic legal (more for the heavy metal class?). All in time I guess...

since i couldn't race tonight, i started a build on a new car. finally getting to it. i will say though after admiring fit/finish during the build of the tekno, the qa on this car sucks. i already stripped out 2 button head screws and the kit was missing 2 e-clips. wtf??!!! we'll see how i perform with it when i'm done.
Well that was fun. I cleaned up my B4 drivetrain and now that sucker flies. Never felt so quick before with a 17.5.
Nice run in 4x4 SC, Photog. I could keep with you for a few laps, but my truck is much less forgiving. Hella fun, though. Next Sunday, I should be able to hand you those YZ10s at Gallimods...hopefully I won't forget...
