Radio Control Hobbies & Raceway - Waterbury, CT.
So who is going to make up to the SC Nats this weekend?
From what I have been told so far we have:
Trevor
John B.
Willy B.
Rick A.
Myself
Not sure if I heard right but...
Sharky?
Donald?
How does the pit situation work? First come first serve for each day or set a tent and hope its still there for the weekend?

good luck to everyone going to sc nats.
on a tekno sct note, did any of you guys notice this. when i run a 5500mah battery, my truck triples that infield triple jump great. however, when i throw in my heavier 6500mah battery, the dreaded uncorrectable in the air nose dive that some guys have mentioned in tekno thread occurs at that same infield triple. i had to be ultra disciplined on the throttle to clear it normally. i'm not running the battery mod or the stiffer spring/piston comb to compensate either. i never noticed the pattern before until last night when i rushed to get a fresh battery in and put the 6500mah in for the main. i went from a smooth qualifier and b-main to crashing in the a-main like i did some shots of tequila.
until next week.

If changing your battery changes the truck's in-air behavior that severely, then you have bigger problems.
Last I remember, I kicked all your butts last Saturday night with my SC10 4x4
I will not be going to the SC Nats. I presume John's going means no RCHR this Saturday? Or will the K-family be running the place?

Phu, mine wants to nose down too. I have to keep a lot of throttle in the air. Raul suggested moving the battery back using the back strap position and or adding some weight to the rear...curious to hear what others have done.
And finally Mr. redneck....i can remember beating you with my slash 4x4 and castle system....a squirrel's gotta get a nut every now and then.
No racing at Gallimods on Sunday - track is being torn up to change the layout.
Mister 9-second-Willie...yes, I believe you did beat me a few times...but not last Saturday!
@ Phu, this is where it helps to have a video camera, so you can check frame by frame what is going on. I have had nose-dive issues with my SC10 4x4 (not a Tekno, but still a redneck truck), and I found that the biggest fix came from stiffer springs, particularly in the rear. That keeps the rear from bottoming out and then bouncing off of the jump face. Had the same exact problem with my YZ10, and stiffer rear springs fixed it there too. This will have a much more profound effect than moving the battery around, which I expect will have a relatively minor effect on the jumping attitude.

I plan on heading up early tomorrow 10 a.m. ish to practice and set up. Hope to see some of you there before I bail.
I guess I'll take my cues from my dog and take a massive crap in each corner of my pit area to mark my territory. Hello Domino's! I need three large pies, extra cheese.
