Default Need some IMMEDIATE HELP PLEASE

Ok, I purchased a DX3.0 TX from a member on the site.....he pretty much sent me a pile crap. Will not go into that here but do need some help with it.

He sent me an onlybatteypacks nimh battery pack with it. First he did not send a charger and next he never took the battery out. Guess what happened, yep the switch got turned on during the delivery fro AZ to FL and is now shot, only .28V in it. Since it has the battery pack it did not come with the actual tray for the regular batteries. I would like to at least for now use regular batteries until I can buy another pack and a charger to charge it. The thing is I can not determine how the battery tray hooks to the remote inside. Did it originally have some sort of harness or did the tray have hard metal pieces/posts that hit the bars inside?

FWIW, NiMh batteries are not like lipos, they can be recharged from near zero and be fine unless it was already bad.

If the pack won't take a charge, this AA holder from Radio Shack will fit. There should be 2 tabs in the battery compartment that contact the holder, if they weren't removed.
