So buying an engine that does not have a bypass port is recommended over one that does?

Is there a list of engines that do not have a bypass port?

Thanks

The engines will be more prone to seeping out the front bearing if the tune is rich when you plug the port........ However by plugging the port you almost completely stop the engines from sucking dirt into the bearing...so IMO the tradeoff is well worth it....

So do you plug the bypass port in all of your modded engines? And on a stock engine what is the best way to plug it?

They actually have a video on how to plug the bypass port. Search up cre tech tip or go to the clockwork website and they have a special page for it.

I got to run the new CRE Keep-Off 4 in my MBX7 Buggy friday night and saturday. The motor is amazing. Still has the great top end of the btt and plus4, but with even more bottom end and feels very crisp and powerful. I was able to TQ all 3 qualifiers in Pro Buggy before the rain came and ended the race early. I ran a 6mm novarossi restrictor the first qualifier, and measured the fuel to determine i was getting just about 10 minutes per tank. For the second qual I put the medium restrictor that neal is making in and got just below 11 minutes. No other changes to the motor, just the restrictor and my mileage was boosted by just about a minute. This new keep-off 4 combined with the new restrictors is amazing, i would highly recommend this buggy combination to anyone interested. Looking forward to getting more testing and runtime on the motor. Thanks Neal and John at CRE for all the help and support!!
