Actually Rick finished approximately 4 seconds in front of Ed. The top 4 were all on the lead lap at the end of the race. Rick lapped everyone up to 5th place! If you look at laps & time elapsed you can see that!
Rick A. 31 8:12.733
Ed S. 30 8:00.815
Jeff R. 30 8:06.822

Nice run Rick.. That car always looks smooth and quiet.. Stealth mode
I was going to toot my own horn on my 32 lap run in buggy until he blasted out 32 laps in the SC main.
That said, I tried running mod buggy with my old B4.1 so that there would be enough cars for a mod buggy class on Wednesday (3 2wd & 2 4wd). The B4.1 handled like a gigantic, leaky, festering bag of infected ass in the heats (yes, it was that bad) so I ran my 17.5 B4.2 in the main. Pulled off a 32 8:13.75. Mind you there were half as many cars in the field so that probably helped a bit, but I did make room for Alex and John and go way wide in a few corners 3 or 4 times to let them by. Maybe it was trying to stay ahead of a 4wd buggy (Thanks Ray) that made me push the envelope just a bit more than normal. So 32 laps is 17.5 buggy is doable under the right conditions.
Good racing last night in every class. Congrats to everyone that made it out.
