Default HPI Vorza wheel seems stuck on axel

I have removed the hex nut but the wheel and tire almost seem binded to the axel. Am I missing a step in how to take the wheel off or do all you have to do is remove the hex? This issue is on all four wheels.

If you have removed the wheel nuts the wheel should come off. Try tapping on the inside of the wheels with something and they should come off. When you do get them off inspect the hex on the wheels to be sure they are not starting to strip.

I appreciate your response as this has been such and an issue for me. I have tried tapping from the back and pulling from ever angle but these things are seriously stuck on there. I am completely at a loss on what to do next. I have a complete new set of wheels and tires that I can't put on. The factory ones are completely worn out.

OK.. get a turbo lighter .cigarette lighter.. put some heat the the exposed axles shaft.. not alot this should help.. sounds like u spun the 12mm hex to the plastic wheel.

see if u can see the 12mm wheel hex on the axle..see if it has ground its way into the wheel..sounds like this is ur issue..

a more drastic removal may be required.. side cutters and a dremel tool..
Ugh Buwannah..zug zug LOL..

Wow I can't believe it's that easy to to bind into the plastic like that.....Is there a way to prevent this when I put the new wheels on? I can't imagine this is a normal issue for everyone but to think it's on all four of my wheels.....The hex nuts themselves were extremely difficult to remove and there was a lot of slop on the wheels straight out the box.

Thank you for your suggestion you are probably spot on with your diagnoses.

Yes.. theirs a product called Never Seez used for steel threads so it wont freeze,, can be used on alluminum and plastic its in a silver tube sold at most auto stores about $4.. also get a different set of 12mm hexs like the losi SCTE ones they have a built in spacer.. but any will do that due to heat transfer thru tires into plastic the theres the alluminum hex they love heat

http://www.bostik-us.com/our-brands/never-seez

it only takes 150 degrees to make plastic soft..

Part of your issue may be over-tightening the wheel nut as well. I had this problem when I started using a Bosch pocket impact on my 8th buggy. When you over-tighten the wheel nut it mashes the plastic around the hex making them difficult to get off.
