Hello everybody i have another question about my futaba 4pl.
I red manual many times but i dont know how this Lap timer works ? i have transponder in my car MyLaps system on the track is active so computer is telling me all my times but i dont know how can i activate this on my transmitter to save all those lap times.Am i missing something or how it works i didnt get it

It works just like a stop watch. As the car goes past your timing point you press the timer button and it records the lap time. Go through again and press the button it records the next lap and so on until you finish. Then you go to the menu and read the laps.

It isn't receiving anything from your MyLap transponder.

Yeah it would only be good for practice with no timing system. I plan on using it a bit but it is going to take some getting used to. I can see forgetting to push the button for sure.

It would be SUPER cool if it somehow could get a signal from the transponder but the transponder is only powered by the RX there is no feedback of any sort so no way for the RX to know you've gone over the timing loop.

Lap counter is not the best idea how they have it setup. I do like the fact you can set your timer to start when you hit the throttle, ie; start of a race. Just remember to hit the stop button when the race is over. Also useful in practice to see how your cutoff voltage equates to runtime, so you can adjust it to your needs before the race.

I like the idea it would be easier than stopwatches , the track I go to has a few vehicles crossing the line at the same time enough for me not to get half my lap times at least during practice that is so I'm honk use this and see if I like it but I think its worth having the ability

Exactly! There is no way to have accurate lap times if you gotta hit a button yourself while driving. You would have more accuracy if you had a friend with a lap timer on their phone. They SHOULD make a radio system that receives transponder signals.

Except that the transponder only emits a very weak signal as it is activated by the loop so you would need to be within a few feet to pick it up. (2 to 3 feet).

I have reviewed the manual and cannot figure out how to set the lap timer and designated switch? Can domeone please walk me through how to set it up it will be greatly appreciated
